Halfway between Florence and Siena, Vignamaggio lies in an uncontaminated landscape of streams, forests and ancient hamlets scattered around the surrounding hills. Vignamaggio is an estate with magnificent gardens, forests and agricultural land that covers more than 400 hectares on the hills between Greve and Panzano in Chianti. The heart of the estate is its Renaissance villa, built in 1300 by the Gherardini family, and surrounded by gardens, rows of cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves. Although the refurbishment of the villa and gardens continues, the newly renovated farmhouses and La Pensione Hotel are ready to welcome you. The fresh style of the décor, walks in the countryside and fragrant forest air evoke a feeling of wellbeing that permeates the entire estate.

Built in the 14th century, the pink villa overlooking the valley has been the beating heart of the estate for over 600 years and was in need of some rest: the villa is currently closed in view of the grand reopening in 2025. We therefore remind you that guided tours of the gardens, cellars and tastings are suspended this year.

La Pensione

A classic, traditional name for an Italian hotel that is quite the opposite. Irreverent and colourful, La Pensione is a velvety refuge immersed in nature, with a panoramic swimming pool surrounded by olive trees and lavender bushes.

Le Case

Il Prato, L'Orto and Il Casolese are available as private residences for weekly rentals, and are ideal for anyone who loves nature, privacy and relaxation.

Vignamaggio Trekking

The circular trekking route that we invite you to follow is an easy path ideal for family strolls. Vignamaggio falls within a robust ecosystem populated by many local species of animals, insects and plants.
