Cyanotype Botanical Workshop
Immerse yourself in the magic of cyanotype, an ancient photographic technique, to capture the natural beauty of plants and dried flowers collected on our estate. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create beautiful botanical prints using dried leaves and flowers from our fields.
You will learn how to treat surfaces with a photosensitive solution, arrange the plants to create unique compositions, and finally expose everything to light to develop images with deep blue tones. Each print will be a unique representation of the connection between art and nature.
Join us, and take home a botanical artwork that captures the spontaneous beauty of our land.
Maximum Number of Participants: 4

CYANOTYPE
is an ancient photographic process invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842. It involves applying a photosensitive solution to a surface (such as paper or fabric) and then exposing it to sunlight or an ultraviolet light, after placing an object or photographic negative overlay. The areas exposed to light turn the characteristic "Prussian blue" (the name cyanotype is from kýanos, Greek "blue"), while the covered areas remain white, or a lighter tone.
During the workshop, participants learn how to prepare the chemical solutions, apply them to the chosen surface, create compositions, and develop the final images. It is a creative and artistic activity that allows one to experiment with a fascinating photographic technique and produce unique works of art.
