Cyanotype is an ancient photographic technique from the 19th century that creates images in a deep Prussian blue color through exposure of photosensitive materials to sunlight. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare paper with the photosensitive emulsion, arrange botanical compositions using flowers and leaves, and develop the print through exposure to light. We will use high-quality paper to create original and personalized greeting cards — small pieces of botanical art to gift or keep for yourself. Tea, coffee, and a selection of homemade pastries will be served during the workshop.
