A creative and sensory experience in Vignamaggio’s Roman garden, where history, botanical knowledge and seasonal plants come together to create a hand-printed botanical fabric scroll to take home.
Daily Schedule (10:00–15:00)
10:00–10:15 – Introduction to botanical printing and a presentation of sample works.
10:15–10:45 – Guided walk through the Viridarium, with storytelling focused on the symbolic meaning of each plant.
10:45–11:15 – Personal foraging and selection of plants for printing.
11:30–12:00 – Refreshment break with POSCA: a chilled herbal infusion made with estate-grown mint and seasonal herbs.
12:00–13:00 – Demonstration and creation of scrolls: guests layer and bind their fabric using the gathered plants.
13:00–14:30 – A lavish lunch break while scrolls are steamed:
A shared table featuring seasonal vegetables from the Vignamaggio gardens, house-made dips, local cheeses, fresh bread, and cold-pressed estate olive oil.
14:30–15:00 – The grand reveal: unwrapping of the scrolls, shared reflections, and goodbyes!
