Living Panzano

La Pensione is located in Piazza Gastone Bucciarelli 5, the village’s main square. Locally, this area is also known as the “Campana”, a historic part of Panzano situated at the crossroads of the Via Chiantigiana and the ancient Chianti ridge road. Seen from above, the shape of the square resembles a bell, from which the area takes its historic name. From here, restaurants, artisan shops and the country lanes leading towards the Conca d’Oro can all be reached on foot.

Il Mercato

The Sunday Market

Every Sunday, the square comes alive with the village’s traditional market. With stalls selling artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit and vegetables, local produce and handmade goods, the market is a weekly fixture not to be missed. Find a seat at the first available table, order a glass of wine and soak up the atmosphere.
