La Festa della Raccolta at Vignamaggio: Three Days of Art, Wine and Tradition in the Heart of Chianti
From 5 to 7 September 2024, La Fattoria di Vignamaggio, nestled among the hills of Chianti Classico, celebrated the first edition of the Harvest Festival, a weekend devoted to the joy of grape picking, art, and the Tuscan way of life. Three days filled with wine, nature, and creativity, featuring activities for all ages: countryside games, craft workshops, culinary experiences, live music, and traditional Tuscan dishes.

Friday: Local Flavours and Togetherness
The weekend opened with a buffet dinner prepared by our chefs, who created Tuscan recipes using farm-to-table ingredients from our own estate and local producers. A perfect beginning to savour the genuine flavours of Chianti in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Saturday: Craftsmanship, Cooking and Grape Stomping
Saturday was a day full of sunshine and celebration. The artisans from the Il Pagliaio association brought to Vignamaggio the colours, scents and textures of their handmade creations.
Throughout the day, guests and families joined cooking classes dedicated to schiacciata with grapes and red wine fettuccine, while country games and creative workshops filled the gardens with laughter and energy.
The highlight of the day was the traditional grape stomping, a joyful moment that captured the spirit of the harvest.
The evening ended with an aperitivo accompanied by live music from the “Filarmonica Giuseppe Verdi di Impruneta”.

Sunday: Art, Children and Authentic Flavours
Sunday was dedicated to art and wine, with a captivating wine painting workshop led by artist Maurizio Uz, who turned the hues of Chianti into a natural palette of creativity.
For children, a creative drawing and collage workshop in English made the morning even more special, a playful way to return to school with a “British” touch in the Chianti countryside.
At noon, the aroma of the grill brought everyone together for the traditional Sunday Lunch, featuring freshly prepared local specialities and the warm spirit of Tuscan hospitality.

Our warmest thanks to everyone who took part and helped make this first Harvest Festival at Vignamaggio truly special.
It was a weekend filled with emotion, togetherness, and the timeless charm of Tuscan tradition.
We look forward to welcoming you to the next edition, to share once again the joy of the harvest season in Tuscany, in the heart of the Chianti Classico.
